OLIVE OUR ADVENTURES
Olive and Kelsey met in December 2024 when Olive was just 5 weeks old. On January 2nd, 2015, Olive came home with Kelsey and they became inseparable ever since. On October 1st, 2019, Kelsey was in a traumatic event that left her struggling with PTSD. After working with her therapist, Cindy Fazendin, Olive became Kelsey's service animal. Olive has helped Kelsey overcome flashbacks, anxiety attacks, and nightmares. Even though Kelsey has overcome most of her PTSD symptoms, Olive still remains her service dog to help Kelsey just in case something happens. Kelsey published an adult self- help book about her struggles with PTSD to help people who may be struggling with similar symptoms.
FAITH OVER FEAR: A ROUTE 91 STORY
This book is about Kelsey McKovich/Lima's story at the Route 91 Harvest Festival where a mass shooting took place on October 1st, 2017. She shares things that have helped and hurt her through the whole first year after that event. Each chapter shares different components of her life to help victims and friends/family of victims after a tragic event. Her ultimate goal is that this book helps people who may be suffering know they are not alone and that they can overcome PTSD, survivors guilt, fear, and anxiety.
Kelsey has started a series about her dog, Olive, and kitten, Jinx. These books will be published in 2024.
